สดุดีบทที่ 119 เป็นบทที่ยาวที่สุดในพระคัมภีร์ บางคนอาจรู้สึกหวาดหวัน่ เพราะ จํานวนข้อที่มากถึง 176 ข้อ จนไม่กล้าอ่าน แต่แท้จริงแล้ว สดุดี 119 เป็นบทกวี ที่งดงามซ่ึงสรรเสริญผทู้ ี่รักและรักษาพระบัญญัติของพระเจ้า บทเพลงนี้ยังใช้ โครงสร้างวรรณกรรมที่เรียกว่า “อะโครสติก” โดยเรียงตามอักษรฮีบรู 22 ตัว แต่ละตัวมี 8 ข้อ ซ่ึงทําให้ความรู้สึกรักพระวจนะของพระเจ้า ชัดเจนยิ่งข้ึน ขณะที่ เราภาวนาและใครค่ รวญสดุดี ขอให้เราได้สัมผัสกับถอ้ ยคําที่ว่า “ถ้อยคําของ พระองค์หวานปานน้ำผ้ึงแก่ปากข้าพระองค์” (สดุดี 119:103) ด้วยตนเอง
