คนชั่ว ในโลกที่อารยธรรมมนุษย์พัฒนาและวิทยาศาสตร์เจริญก้าวหน้ า การร้องเพลง ถวายแด่พระเจ้าผู้ที่ตามองไม่เห็นอาจดูโงเ่ ขลาสําหรับคนในโลก แต่แม้ในสมัย ของผู้เขียนสดุดี ก็มีสายตาแบบนั้น อยเู่ ช่นกัน สดุดีเต็มไปด้วยถ้อยคําตําหนิคน ชัว่ และยกย่องความยิ่งใหญ่ของพระเจ้า ซ่ึงเกินกว่าที่โลกจะเขา้ ใจได้ เพราะ พระเจ้าใหญ่ยิ่งจนสายตาของมนุษย์ไม่อาจหยัง่ ถึง ผู้เขียนสดุดีมัน่ ใจว่าพระเจ้า จะ ทรงพิพากษาคนชัว่ และช่วยผู้ชอบธรรม จึงร้องเพลงด้วยความปล้ืมปี ติ โดย เฉพาะในบทที่ 51 ซ่ึงเป็นบทเพลงของดาวิด ผสู้ ารภาพบาปต่อพระเจ้า และทูลขอ ให้พระองค์ทรงชําระเขาใหบ้ ริสุทธิ ์ ดังที่ดาวิดกล่าวไว้ พระเจ้าทรงเป็นผู้ลงโทษ คนชัว่ และทรงฟั งคําอธิษฐานของผทู้ ี่กลับใจใหม ่
