The Story

The question 'Who am I?' matters more than we think. If we define ourselves by success, we will fear failure. If we define ourselves by approval, we will become slaves to praise and criticism. Scripture first reveals who God is. He is Creator, King, wise and powerful. He is also the Father who comes near to sinners by grace. When we know him rightly, we begin to know ourselves rightly. In Christ, we are not people who must create worth from nothing. We are redeemed, adopted, and called to live in his wisdom and righteousness. Do not listen to voices that define you by performance, failure, or opinion. The Spirit reminds us that our true identity is in Christ, and he is our wisdom and righteousness. Prayer Father who creates and redeems, I praise you because you tell me who I am in Christ. Forgive me for defining myself by performance, praise, or failure more than by your grace. Thank you for Jesus Christ, who is my wisdom and righteousness. Holy Spirit, help me live according to my new identity in him. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
