The Story

Envy often begins when we stare too long at another person's life. We notice what they have, their opportunities, their comfort, and we begin to wonder why God gave them more. Envy makes us see God wrongly, as if he were unfair or had forgotten us. But the faithful Father knows what we need and gives according to his wisdom, not according to our comparisons. Jesus Christ gave himself for us when we deserved nothing. In him, we have grace deeper than possessions, opportunities, or human praise. The clearer we see Christ, the weaker envy becomes. Stop counting what others have. Begin counting God's faithfulness in your own life. The Spirit teaches gratitude, not because we have everything we want, but because in Christ we never lack what we truly need. Prayer Faithful Father, I praise you because you are not partial and you care for your children with wisdom. Forgive me for comparing my life with others and doubting your goodness. Thank you for Jesus Christ, who gave himself to me. Holy Spirit, free my heart from envy and fill it with gratitude. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
