The Story

Some mornings begin with weariness, guilt, or fear that we will fail again. But God's Word announces a truth greater than our feelings: his mercies are new every morning. Mercy does not ignore sin as if nothing happened. Mercy is God coming near to sinners with grace we could never earn. He forgives, heals, and strengthens people who have nothing to boast about. Jesus Christ is the reason we dare to begin again. He bore judgment in our place and opened the way back to the Father. Our hope rests not in yesterday's success, but in the steadiness of God's grace. Receive new mercy today with humility. Do not use mercy as an excuse for sin. Let mercy lead you to repentance, trust, and grateful obedience to Christ. Prayer Father of endless mercy, I praise you because your mercies are new every morning and your faithfulness is great. Forgive me for sinking into guilt or using mercy as an excuse not to repent. Thank you for Jesus Christ, who opened the way for sinners to begin again. Holy Spirit, lead me to receive mercy and walk in the light. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
