The Story

Fish were created to swim, the sun was created to shine, and humans were created to worship our living God. Our lives were not created for ourselves, but to know God, to love God, and to glorify Him. But sin has stolen our worship away, and the heart that should be given to God turns to the things God has made. We begin to seek life, satisfaction, and meaning in other things instead of God. This is the greatest damage of sin. The grace of God does not only make us better people, but it also brings us back to the original purpose for which God created us, which is to worship Him. Grace changes the direction of our hearts and brings God back to the rightful place in our lives. Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the dead, not only to forgive our sins, but to restore us to worship God. In Christ, we can call God our Father and offer Him honor with our hearts and lives. Our Father, worthy of all glory and praise, I praise you because you created me to know and worship you. Forgive me when I love the things you have made more than you, and seek satisfaction in something other than God. Thank you, Jesus Christ, who died and rose from the dead to forgive sins and bring me back to the Father. Please have the Holy Spirit turn my heart back to You, and help my life be a worship that glorifies God in every prayer I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
