The Story

The center of the universe is not us, but God. He is the one who fills heaven and earth, and He is the one who determines what is love, wisdom, righteousness, and grace. All things come from Him, through Him, and for Him. But sin makes us want to sit in God's place, we want our lives to go according to our desires, to have our plans succeed, and for those around us to adjust to us. This leads to strained relationships and disappointment in the heart. Selfishness is a major work of sin. The more we try to be the center, the less we love God and our neighbors correctly. Therefore, we need the grace that saves us. In Jesus Christ, grace brings us back to the right place, where God is at the center, and we are the ones created to worship and depend on Him. When we acknowledge this truth, our lives begin to return to their proper order. Our Father, who is the center of all things, I praise you, for you are worthy of all glory, power, and praise. Please forgive me when I want my life to revolve around my own desires and plans. Thank you, Jesus Christ, who has led me back to worship in the right way. May the Holy Spirit humble my heart and live my life centered on God today. Pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
