The Story

Humans always look at life from a certain perspective. Our thoughts are never neutral. What we believe about God, ourselves, and the purpose of life will influence our words, decisions, and actions. The Bible speaks of two ways to think: worldly thinking and heavenly-mindedness. If we focus on the world alone, desires, success, fear, and what can be seen today seem like everything in life. But those who are new with Christ are called to seek the things that are above. This does not mean we deny the realities of daily life, but it means we view everything through a larger story, namely the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today our schedules, decisions, relationships, and priorities are driven by what? God does not allow our thoughts to be bound up with this world but changes us so that we look at life from Christ's perspective who is Lord over all. Father who is true, I praise you because you have changed my thoughts and direction of life in Jesus Christ. Please forgive me when I look to the world and live according to fear or self-will. Thank you that He gave new life in Christ who rose from death. May the Holy Spirit take control of my thoughts, may I think about things above, and choose to live according to good news today.
