The Story

The blessings of the gospel are not limited to forgiveness of sins and receiving us alone. The same blessings also lift us up and give us strength to live out the calling of God in our lives today. We often fear when God calls us to obey. We feel that we are weak, not ready, and unable to do it. But God does not call us and then leave us to rely on our own resources alone. God did not tell us to wait until we see the full power before we obey, but He calls us to step out in faith because He is with us, for us, and is working in us by the Holy Spirit. The power of God is a power that encompasses the entire world. This great God knows His children and gives them the necessary blessings at the necessary time. Therefore, rise up today and follow Him by relying on His grace. Our faithful and powerful Father, I praise you, for you not only forgive my sins, but also give me the strength to obey. Forgive me when I look at my own inadequacies more than at your promises. Thank you, Jesus Christ, who has helped me to be saved and has given me the Holy Spirit to dwell in me. May I walk by faith, not by fear, and obey Him in what He is calling me to do today. Pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
