The Story

The biggest problem we face is not our weakness, but our deception that we are strong enough. We don't want to admit that we are weak, we don't want others to see that we need help, and we often pretend that we can manage our lives on our own. But God did not create us to live without relying on Him. We were created to rely on God, and in Jesus Christ, we are brought back to life through His grace. God does not take pleasure in seeing our weakness. The gospel is the story of the strong Savior who gives grace and strength to the weak. Sometimes God puts us in situations where we stand before what we cannot bear, so that we stop relying on ourselves and turn to rely on the power of Christ. So do not be afraid to admit weakness. Recognizing our weakness is not despair, but the door that leads us to find grace. When our strength is exhausted, we can find the Savior who is strong and full of mercy. Father, all-powerful God, I praise you because you show kindness to the weak and are my true strength. Please forgive me when I hide my weakness and rely on my own strength. Thank you, Jesus Christ, who came to me in my weakness and gave me sufficient grace, that the Holy Spirit would humble me, acknowledge my weakness, and rely on His power.
