The Story

Discouragement often speaks to our hearts as if it were the truth. When we struggle with sin, experience pain in relationships, grow weary of family, or encounter failure, we may feel as though God has forgotten us. But the voice of discouragement is not the voice of truth. Every day in our lives is not a coincidence to God, for before we were born, He already knew our days and held the story of our lives with His wisdom and grace, and even the unexpected hardships did not ever surprise God. Believers do not write their own stories alone. Our Savior, the Lord, is the One who helps us. He is the One who owns everything. He knows what is best and accomplishes it according to His will. Therefore, when discouragement comes to shake our hearts, let us not look only at the situation before us, but let us look to God who possesses our lives. Our future is not in the hands of fear, but in the hands of the faithful God. Our heavenly Father, who holds all things in your hands, I praise you because you know every day of my life and lead me with your wisdom and goodness. Please forgive me when I listen to the voice of despair more than your promises. Thank you, Jesus Christ, who died and rose from the dead, to give me a firm hope. May the Holy Spirit open my eyes to see His goodness today, and may I live by the hope of the good news, praying in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
